“delicious haggis pakoras and haggis fritters”

My husband and I ate here last night on the start of our road trip around Scotland. The welcome was very warm and friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere with background music and candles on the tables... Food was delicious haggis pakoras and haggis fritters for starters both fantastic and I honestly I had the best lasagna I have ever tasted. Would return without hesitation.

On a recent visit to Luss we stopped off for lunch at this lovely place. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food was excellent. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. The Steak Pie was fab 👍

Gorgeous, cosy and friendly place. The welcome and service were only beaten by the food - freshly cooked and generous portions. We popped in for dinner and stayed 3 hours!

“The best dinner we have had in 10 days touring Scotland”

We were on our way towards home on the south coast of England and decided to stop for the night in Luss after 10 days touring the Highlands of Scotland. The landlady at our B&B suggested that we try "The Village Rest". What a delight!!

The place looks unprepossing from the outside, but it has seating for around 50 people inside. We had the pork loin and duck from the "specials" menu. Both were cooked and presented to perfection. Large portions too. The best dinner we have had in 10 days touring Scotland. Sadly, we are off home tomorrow....

“I went back every evening”

Well, I found this on the Tuesday whilst visiting Loch Lomond until Saturday. I went back every evening for a meal with my wife and we both rate this as brilliant. The food was excellent every evening, the staff were brilliant each evening we were there and they were different personnel on occasions, so all were exceptional in service. If it wasn't so far away from where we live we would be dining there at least once a week. If you are in the are please for your own pleasure, try the Village Rest at Luss, it great.
